Went to FRIM on Saturday for a photography course conducted by Andy Lim. There were 7 participants and we were taught the basic of photography and did some practical shooting. There, I met Ghazee again whom I first met from Ted Adnan's Lighting Workshop. Most of the participants used Nikon DSLR except for Thong Mei who was using a Canon (with a Nikon bag). The course was not what I expected coz I was hoping for more practical shooting around FRIM but still, I did learn something new from the course and most important, I met some new friends.
I went back to FRIM again on Sunday and this time with my wife and kids. We wanted to go to the canopy walkway which is about 300m above sea level. It was a tiring journey up the hill and after halfway up, my wife decided not to continue and took the kids back to the parking area. So, I had to go uphill alone and I had to make a few stops before reaching the walkway (I never thought it's going to be that tough). The walkway system spans about 200m and is suspended between trees about 30m above ground. After walking a few metres on the walkway, I almost gave up since I was afraid of height. But I kept on going coz I think this is one way to overcome my fear of height and I also managed to shoot some photos while walking on the walkway. It was a spectacular view up there and you can also see KL from the walkway. I went back down to meet my family and after that I took them to the Sungai Kroh waterfall.
